Bury the Bourbon: A Southern Tradition We Cherish

One of our favorite Southern wedding traditions is the “bury the bourbon” ritual—a delightful way to ward off rain on your wedding day and bring good luck for your marriage. According to folklore, if you bury a full bottle of bourbon upside down at your wedding site before the big day, you’ll be gifted with clear skies, sunshine and lots of love.

At The Wildflower 301, we’ve dedicated an enchanting little garden just for this tradition. Nestled beneath the trees and surrounded by blooms, it's the perfect spot for couples to honor this time-honored ritual with a touch of fun and a whole lot of charm. And after the ceremony? Dig it up and toast to forever with a sip of good luck.

Cheers to sunshine, love, and a little Southern magic!
